Course description

The PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a professional accreditation sponsored by the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and recognized worldwide. With members in more than 150 countries, the number of Project Management Professionals now exceeds 128,000 and continues to grow. PMP certification requires a specific level of education and experience, adherence to a code of professional conduct, and a passing grade in the PMP Certification Examination.

Why does PMP Certification matter?

Benefits for organizations and individuals: PMP certification has become a mark of credibility for project management practitioners across industries.

Multilingual environments require standardized project communication. As a result, more leading companies are adopting a unified project management process―and along with it, a greater demand for Project Management Professionals.
As PMP certification progresses as a global standard, managers use the certification as a way to standardize their people's skills across countries and cultures. The certification is also increasingly used as a benchmark for skills evaluation.

According to PMI salary surveys, PMP certified individuals command higher salaries than their non-certified counterparts and have a competitive advantage in the job market.

Top managers wishing to promote PM maturity can show that their organizations take project management seriously, and in turn, encourage others to pursue certification and other areas of skill development.

The global community of PMP holders is growing. As a certified Project Management Professional, you can connect with colleagues around the world via industry and interest-specific discussion groups, and keep your PM know-how up to date.

What are the advantages of our training program?

PM-Global's training course has been designed for people and organizations in Japan. Our bicultural team is sensitive to the fact that some project management concepts are often of Western origin, and that these concepts require further explanation for a Japanese audience. For courses in Japanese, we list major English and Japanese terms together in the training materials, so course participants can refer to either question version on the test itself to assist their understanding (both a Japanese and English version of each question appear on the exam for Japanese speakers). Our program is what our clients require—an innovative, quality-driven course that has evolved because of their guidance, and that continues to be refined with practical examples of concepts observed in the Japan project environment We leverage the experience of our consulting group to create relevant, realistic course content Courses are in Japanese and English, so companywide training is consistent in both languages.

Custom support is also available for HR/Training managers and individual test takers. We can facilitate the multiple stages of the exam application process (applications are currently accepted by PMI in English only.) We can provide an "email help hotline" to answer participants & questions after the training program for a specified number of months. For groups, we can hold extra review classes just before your test date; sessions can range from a few hours to a few days as necessary.
